FEELINGS. The quality of your own life has probably suffered from the stress of dealing with your loved one’s challenges. As a result, you may be watching them with widely varying emotions. At one extreme you may feel determined to help you loved one succeed and are convinced that they will. At the other extreme you may feel depressed, anxious or even skeptical. Having both positive and negative feelings about your loved one’s struggles is normal.
